dude...it's the 8th and i haven't picked up my pay check...but things have been busy. i did decide to drop my teacher education classes though since i won't be teaching bio next fall. gives me some more free time. in the meanwhile, i can go work out more and lose the 6 pounds i suddenly gained in a week and a half. i think i've gone to over 8 bbq's the past 10 days.

i finally improved a little in badminton too. i started playing that after wushu practices, but now i just want to play badminton and not do wushu. maybe i'll join james at that badminton gym. i hate sucking at something, and since i haven't really played badminton and i've only played tennis, i look horrible. i mean, it's ok if like you've only played a couple of times. but now i've played maybe 6 or 7 times..by then ya gotta start looking decent right? i don't care about playing well, but at least look like you're playing well....so i did some drills with james yesterday, and that actually really helped. maybe next i can work on changing my first reaction from a matrix style back arch to actually swinging the racket and hitting the birdie...if you have no idea what i'm talking about, you'll just have to see me play...

i've also started TAing the hkd pe class. there's only 9 people, so it's pretty small. i think the hardest thing is that i'll have to learn ppl's names...in general though they're pretty good. i think with 22 more practices, i can get hooked.

so my nasty sunburn is healing. at least it's not flaking anymore. i still have the strong urge to scratch myself on the chest, but that's mostly due to the sunburn. mostly.
my shins are healing differently though. instead of flaking off, it's coming off a lot more slowly. so i peeled some skin off...and boy was that nasty. i got one chunk that was like 10 sq. cm...(2 sq. inches for you metrically challenged)

so i leave you with those pleasant thoughts
