just another of those days....
it's career day here at Riordan, so I didn't have to do any prepwork. just had to stand around for a couple of hours and listen to some engineer talk about his job. not too bad, gives me a chance to catch up on my grading (damn semester projects...)
was just talking to some of my first year Riordan colleagues. it's so sad how this school is fucking us over. they have to hire at least half of us back, but they haven't talked to any of us. it's fucking ridiculous. as more time passes, we're all hating the administration here more and more and actually choosing to leave. i want to stay at the same school for a couple of years; it's really nice being able to see me past students and talking about their lives as opposed to making sure that they're doing their hw. but now, i don't know, i might have to suck it up and look into real estate for this next year while i work on my apps.
other things have been interesting. my 4th block which is full of..well..let's say non-academically oriented students. this week has been all semester project presentations. sometimes, their projects were so full of errors that i couldn't help but laugh. i swear, half of them will grow up to be used-car salesmen. no substance, but lots of style.
bowling scores have gone up. how sad is that? the fact that i suck at bowling, or the fact that i'vbe been going once a week the past few weeks? what can i say, i have hella fun. i think i'll keep doing this until i can either consistently get turkeys every couple of games, or just average 180 or so. i just hate sucking at stuff...
k..my mini-break is over. faculty meeting now =( in such nice weather...sigh...
